Gemma Whelan

Gemma Whelan is an English actress and comedian known for her roles in various TV shows and films. Born on April 23, 1981, in Leeds, she grew up in the Midlands and attended The King's High School for Girls in Warwick. Whelan gained recognition for her portrayal of Yara Greyjoy in the HBO series Game of Thrones. She also appeared as Kate in all seasons of the comedy Upstart Crow and played Detective Eunice Noon in the first season of The End of the F***ing World. Additionally, Whelan portrayed Geraldine in the third season of Killing Eve. Alongside her acting career, she has also achieved success as a stand-up comedian, winning the 2010 Funny Women Variety Award.
