George Asprey Biography
George Asprey (born 1 October 1966) is a British stage, film, and television character actor. He is best known for his role as Scar in the West End theatre production of the musical The Lion King, a role he has played since 2008. Asprey rebelled against his family's expectations of joining the family business and instead pursued an acting career. He studied business in the United States but was cast in a stage production of The Tempest, which led him to audition for and be accepted into the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art (LAMDA). Asprey has since had a successful career in both stage and screen.
