George Barrows

George D. Barrows (February 7, 1914 - October 17, 1994) was an American actor, best known for portraying Ro-Man in the film Robot Monster. Born in New York, Barrows was the son of actor Henry A. Barrows. Throughout his career, he frequently donned a gorilla suit for various film roles, crafting the suits himself. Despite mostly playing uncredited bit parts, Barrows left a lasting impression with his iconic gorilla performances. Notably, the gorilla suit he created for Robot Monster and other films is now housed in the collection of the Natural History Museum of Los Angeles County.
