George Clinton
George Edward Clinton is an American musician, singer, bandleader, and record producer. Born on July 22, 1941, in Kannapolis, North Carolina, he grew up in Plainfield, New Jersey, and currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida. Clinton is best known for his work with the Parliament-Funkadelic collective, which developed an influential and eclectic form of funk music during the 1970s. His solo career took off in 1982 with the release of his album 'Computer Games'. Clinton's music has had a significant impact on 1990s hip-hop and G-funk. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1997 and received a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2019.
