George Costigan Biography
George J. Costigan (born August 8, 1947) is an English actor known for his roles in film and television. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Bob in the 1987 film Rita, Sue and Bob Too. Costigan has appeared in popular TV series such as Happy Valley and So Haunt Me. Born in Portsmouth, Hampshire, he grew up in Salford, Greater Manchester. Costigan attended St Augustine's C of E Primary School and Wardley Grammar School. He has been a regular presence on television since 1978, starring in productions like The Barchester Chronicles and The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. In addition to his TV work, Costigan has also appeared in various stage productions.
