George Foreman Biography
George Edward Foreman (born January 10, 1949) is an American former professional boxer, entrepreneur, minister, and author. He competed in boxing from 1967 to 1997 and was known as 'Big George'. Foreman won two world heavyweight championships and an Olympic gold medal. In 1968, he won a gold medal in the heavyweight division at the Summer Olympics. Foreman turned professional the following year and became the world heavyweight champion by knocking out Joe Frazier in 1973. He retired in 1977 but made a comeback after a religious epiphany. Apart from his boxing career, Foreman is also known as the entrepreneur behind the George Foreman Grill.
