George Galloway
George Galloway (born August 16, 1954) is a British politician, broadcaster, and writer. He currently serves as the leader of the Workers Party of Britain since 2019. Galloway was a Member of Parliament (MP) for four constituencies between 1987 and 2010, and then again between 2012 and 2015. He initially represented the Labour Party and later joined and led the Respect Party from 2013 until its dissolution in 2016. Galloway was born in Dundee, Scotland, and became the youngest ever chair of the Scottish Labour Party in 1981. He was general secretary of the charity War on Want from 1983 until his election as MP. In 2003, he was expelled from the Labour Party for his opposition to the Global War on Terror.
