George Hearn Biography
George Hearn (born June 18, 1934) is an American actor and singer, known for his work in Broadway musical theatre. He has appeared in numerous productions including La Cage aux Folles, Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street, Sunset Boulevard, The Diary of Anne Frank, Wicked, and 1776. Born in St. Louis, Missouri, Hearn studied philosophy at Southwestern at Memphis before pursuing a career in theater. He received training from Irene Dailey and started his career performing in traditional productions at the New York Shakespeare Festival and Lincoln Center. Hearn's career took off in the 1960s, and he became known for his notable performances in musicals and plays.
