George Salazar

George Salazar (born March 7, 1986) is an American actor, singer, and musician. He gained recognition for his performances on and off-Broadway. Salazar made his Broadway debut in the 2011 revival of Stephen Schwartz's Godspell. He is best known for originating the role of Michael Mell in the 2015 musical Be More Chill, performing in both the 2018 Off-Broadway and 2019 Broadway productions. Salazar also originated the role of Grover in The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical and starred as Seymour Krelborn in Pasadena Playhouse's production of Little Shop of Horrors. Originally from Kissimmee, Florida, Salazar is of Filipino and Ecuadorian descent. He studied Musical Theatre at the University of Florida.
