George T. Odom

George T. Odom (August 21, 1950 – c. September 21, 2016) was an American character actor known for his roles in film and television. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Ray Brown in the independent film 'Straight Out of Brooklyn,' for which he received an Independent Spirit Awards nomination for Best Supporting Male. Born in The Bronx, New York City, Odom made his film debut in 1991 and went on to appear in films such as 'Malcolm X' and 'The Hurricane.' In addition to his film work, Odom also made guest appearances on television shows. He passed away in September 2016.
