George Wyner (born October 20, 1945) is an American actor known for his work in film and television. He graduated from Syracuse University in 1968 with a degree in drama and quickly gained popularity as a character actor in the early 1970s. With over 100 guest appearances and nine co-starring roles in television series, Wyner has established himself as a versatile performer. Some of his notable roles include Assistant District Attorney Bernstein in Hill Street Blues, Colonel Sandurz in the film Spaceballs, and Rabbi Nachtner in A Serious Man. Wyner was introduced to producer Steven Bochco through his work on the series Delvecchio, which led to multiple collaborations on Bochco's subsequent shows. Born in Boston, Massachusetts, Wyner comes from a Jewish family.
