Gerald Mohr (June 11, 1914 – November 9, 1968) was an American radio, film, and television character actor and leading man. With over 500 radio plays, 73 films, and 100 television shows to his credit, Mohr had a prolific career in the entertainment industry. Born in Manhattan, he attended Dwight Preparatory School and Columbia University, where he initially pursued a medical career. However, a chance encounter with a radio broadcaster led to Mohr's discovery of his pleasant baritone voice and subsequent entry into the radio industry. He later gained theatrical experience with Orson Welles' Mercury Theatre, performing on Broadway. Known for his versatility, Mohr appeared in various genres of film and television throughout his career.
