Gil Rogers Biography
Gil Rogers (born John Veach Rogers Jr.; February 4, 1934 – March 2, 2021) was an American actor. He began his acting career as a child in Lexington Children's Theatre and later received his equity card in 1955 while working in local theater in Lexington. Rogers performed in hundreds of plays in summer stock and regional theater, including notable Broadway productions such as The Great White Hope and The Corn is Green. He is best known for his roles on daytime dramas, particularly as Ray Gardner on All My Children and Hawk Shayne on Guiding Light. Rogers also appeared in various movies and TV shows throughout his career.
