Gilbert Gottfried

Gilbert Jeremy Gottfried (February 28, 1955 – April 12, 2022) was an American stand-up comedian and actor known for his distinctive shrill voice, strong New York accent, and edgy sense of humor. He gained prominence for his role as Iago in the Aladdin animated franchise and Digit LeBoid in Cyberchase. Gottfried also voiced Kraang Subprime in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and played Mr. Peabody in the Problem Child film series. He hosted Gilbert Gottfried's Amazing Colossal Podcast (2014–2022), discussing classic films and conducting celebrity interviews. The documentary Gilbert (2017) delved into his life and career, winning the Special Jury Prize for Best Documentary at the 2017 deadCENTER Film Festival.
