Gillian Tett is a British author and journalist, born on 10 July 1967. She currently serves as the chair of the editorial board and editor-at-large, US of the Financial Times. Tett's expertise lies in a wide range of economic, financial, political, and social issues. She is well-known for her extensive coverage of the financial crisis that emerged in the fourth quarter of 2007, particularly focusing on the role of financial instruments such as CDOs, credit default swaps, SIVs, conduits, and SPVs. Additionally, Tett co-founded Moral Money, the FT sustainability newsletter. Since October 2023, she has also held the position of Provost at King's College, Cambridge.
