Gina McKee Biography
Gina McKee is an English actress, best known for her roles in various television shows and films. Born in Peterlee, County Durham in 1964, McKee grew up in the area and developed a passion for acting at a young age. She began her professional career with a role on the Tyne Tees children's series, Quest of Eagles. McKee gained critical acclaim for her portrayal of Mary Cox in Our Friends in the North (1996), which earned her a BAFTA TV Award for Best Actress. She has since been nominated for BAFTA Awards for her performances in The Lost Prince (2003) and The Street (2007). McKee has also appeared in popular television shows such as The Forsyte Saga (2002) and The Borgias (2011), as well as films like Notting Hill (1999), Phantom Thread (2017), and My Policeman (2022).
