Gina Moxley Biography
Gina Moxley (born 1957) is an Irish playwright, director, and actress. She is a member of Aosdána, an elite Irish association of artists. Moxley was born in Cork in 1957 and studied fine art at Crawford School of Art. She initially wanted to work as a designer but was invited to audition as an actress for a theatre company in Dublin. Her debut play, Danti-Dan (1995), won the Stewart Parker Trust Award. She also co-starred in the film Snakes and Ladders (1996) and wrote the one-actor drama, Dog House (1997). Moxley attended the creative writing course at the Oscar Wilde Centre and received an M.Phil. from Trinity College Dublin in 2006. Her play How to Keep an Alien won best production at the 2014 Dublin Fringe Festival.
