Gina Yashere, born Regina Obedapo Iyashere, is a British comedian, actress, and writer known for her appearances on British and American television. Born and raised in Bethnal Green, London to Nigerian parents, Yashere initially worked as a lift maintenance technician and engineer before pursuing a career in comedy. She co-created and stars in the sitcom Bob Hearts Abishola. Yashere has been a finalist in the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year competition and has appeared in various TV programs, including The Lenny Henry Show, where she played Tanya and Mrs. Omokorede, and voiced Keisha on Bromwell High. Yashere's talent and humor have made her a notable personality in the entertainment industry.
