She gained recognition for her portrayal of Margene Heffman in the HBO drama series Big Love from 2006 to 2011. Goodwin also starred as Snow White/Mary Margaret Blanchard in the ABC fantasy series Once Upon a Time from 2011 to 2018. In addition to her television work, Goodwin has appeared in various films, including Mona Lisa Smile (2003), Walk the Line (2005), He's Just Not That Into You (2009), and Something Borrowed (2011).
