Gino Anthony Pesi is an American actor, producer, and writer. He was born on November 3, 1980, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pesi is best known for his role as James Nava in the NBC series Shades of Blue. He attended Geibel Catholic Junior-Senior High School and later graduated from Charleroi High School in 1999. Pesi pursued his passion for acting and graduated as a theater major with a concentration in acting from Point Park University, Conservatory of Performing Arts. In 2013, he was diagnosed with acromegaly while filming 42. He underwent successful tumor removal surgery and appreciates the experience as the greatest gift of his life.
