Girish Kulkarni

Girish Pandurang Kulkarni is an Indian actor, writer, and producer born on November 25, 1977. He has received two National Film Awards, one for Best Actor in 2011 for his role in Deool and another for Best Screenplay for the same film. Kulkarni is well-known for his work in Marathi cinema, with notable films including Valu, Vihir, Deool, Gabhricha Paus, and Jaundya Na Balasaheb. He has also gained recognition in Hindi cinema, appearing in Aamir Khan's Dangal and Anurag Kashyap's Ugly. Moreover, he starred as 'Appa' in the Marathi crime thriller Faster Fene and portrayed the character of Maharashtra CM Bipin Bhosale in the popular Netflix series Sacred Games. Kulkarni was born in Paranda Taluka, Osmanabad district and grew up in Pune. He holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from Puranmal Lahoti Government Polytechnic Latur.
