Glenn Shadix Biography
William Glenn Shadix, born on April 15, 1952, in Bessemer, Alabama, was an American actor and comedian known for his roles in Tim Burton's films. He played the character of Otho in the horror comedy film 'Beetlejuice' and provided the voice for the Mayor of Halloween Town in 'The Nightmare Before Christmas.' Shadix attended Birmingham–Southern College and studied with playwright-director Arnold Powell. He lived in Manhattan, New York City, before relocating to Hollywood in 1977. Shadix got his breakthrough in 'Beetlejuice' while performing with The Groundlings comedy troupe. He also appeared in stage plays, including 'Doctor Faustus Lights the Lights.'
