    Glenn Maitland Turner (born 26 May 1947) is a former New Zealand cricketer and one of the country's most accomplished batsmen. Born in Dunedin, Turner attended Otago Boys' High School where he developed a passion for cricket. He made his first-class debut for Otago in 1964 and went on to have a successful career as a batsman. Turner played for New Zealand and was known for his prolific scoring ability. He currently serves as the head of the New Zealand Cricket selection panel. Turner is also the brother of poet Brian Turner and golfer Greg Turner, and is married to former mayor of Dunedin, Dame Sukhi Turner.
