Gloria Diaz

Gloria Diaz is a Filipino actress, model, and beauty queen. Born on April 5, 1951, she gained international fame after being crowned Miss Universe 1969, becoming the first Filipino to hold the prestigious title. Hailing from the renowned Díaz clan of the Philippines, she is one of twelve children and her sister, Rio Díaz, was also an actress and beauty queen. Prior to her pageant success, Diaz was scouted while studying in college and won the 1969 Binibining Pilipinas competition. She then represented the Philippines in the Miss Universe pageant held in Miami Beach, Florida, where she captivated the audience with her beauty and wit.
