Gloria Gaynor

Gloria Gaynor (born September 7, 1943) is an American singer known for her disco era hits such as 'I Will Survive,' 'Let Me Know (I Have a Right),' 'I Am What I Am,' and her rendition of 'Never Can Say Goodbye.' Born Gloria Fowles in Newark, New Jersey, Gaynor grew up in a musically inclined household. Her father played the ukulele and guitar professionally, while her brothers formed a gospel quartet. Despite facing obstacles, including being a girl and too young to join the all-male group, Gaynor's talent eventually propelled her to success as a solo artist. Today, she remains an influential figure in pop music.
