Gloria LeRoy Biography
Gloria Jacqueline LeRoy (November 7, 1925 – May 26, 2018) was an American character actress known for her diverse career on stage, in film, and on television. Born in Bucyrus, Ohio in 1925, she relocated to New York with her family at a young age. LeRoy's film career took off when she was cast by Norman Lear in The Night They Raided Minsky's in 1968. However, she gained recognition primarily for her role as Mildred 'Boom Boom' Turner in the 1970s sitcom All in the Family. LeRoy's early career involved performing as a dancer and singer in nightclubs, including the Latin Quarter. She also appeared on Broadway in Artists and Models with Jackie Gleason in 1943.
