Glynis Barber
Glynis Barber (born Glynis van der Riet; 25 October 1955) is a South African actress known for her roles in various British television shows. She gained recognition for portraying Sgt. Harriet Makepeace in the police drama Dempsey and Makepeace, Glenda Mitchell in EastEnders, DCI Grace Barraclough in Emmerdale, Fiona Brake in Night and Day, and Soolin in Blake's 7. In 2022, Barber joined the cast of Hollyoaks as Norma Crow. She studied at the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts and began her acting career in 1978, taking on small parts. Her breakthrough came in 1981 with her role as Soolin in Blake's 7. Barber also starred in the title role of the television series Jane in 1982.
