Graham Greene (1904-1991) was an English writer and journalist known for his novels and thrillers. He is considered one of the leading novelists of the 20th century. Throughout his career, Greene wrote over 25 novels, exploring the moral and political conflicts of the modern world. His works gained both critical acclaim and widespread popularity. Greene was shortlisted for the Nobel Prize in Literature multiple times and received awards such as the 1968 Shakespeare Prize and the 1981 Jerusalem Prize. He converted to Catholicism in 1926 and later referred to himself as a 'Catholic agnostic.' Greene passed away in 1991 at the age of 86 due to leukemia and was laid to rest in Corseaux cemetery in Switzerland.
