    Grant Imahara Biography
    Grant Masaru Imahara (October 23, 1970 – July 13, 2020) was an American electrical engineer, roboticist, and television host. He gained recognition for his work on the television series MythBusters, where he designed, built, and operated various robots and machines to test myths. Prior to his television career, Imahara worked at Lucasfilm in the THX and Industrial Light & Magic divisions, contributing to notable films such as Star Wars, Jurassic Park, The Matrix, and Terminator. He also competed on the robot combat series BattleBots and later served as a judge. Imahara appeared in over 200 episodes of MythBusters as a member of the Build Team.
