Grant Shaud, born Edward Grant Shaud III on February 27, 1961, is an American actor best known for his portrayal of Miles Silverberg on the popular television sitcom Murphy Brown. He has also made notable appearances in films such as The Distinguished Gentleman and Antz, as well as lending his voice to characters in The Wild Thornberrys, Godzilla: The Series, and Batman: The Animated Series. Shaud was born in Evanston, Illinois, and attended Conestoga High School in Berwyn, Pennsylvania, before graduating from the University of Richmond with a journalism degree in 1983. He began his acting career in New York City and gained recognition with his role on Murphy Brown.
