Greg Cromer

Greg Cromer, born George Gregory Cromer on June 26, 1958, is an American politician and the mayor of Slidell, Louisiana. He has been serving as a Republican mayor since 2018. Prior to his mayoral role, Cromer was a member of the Louisiana House of Representatives from 2008 to 2018. He graduated from Southeastern Louisiana University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree in industrial management technology. Cromer began his career at Lockheed Martin at the Michoud Assembly Facility of NASA in New Orleans. He also served as the District G city council member in Slidell. During his time in the House, Cromer focused on issues such as civil law, governmental affairs, and retirement, particularly addressing flooding problems in the Slidell area.
