Greg Poehler is an American actor, comedian, producer, writer, and attorney. He is best known for creating and starring in the Swedish sitcom Welcome to Sweden. Born on October 11, 1974, in Boston, Massachusetts, Poehler was raised in Burlington. He is the son of high school teachers Eileen Frances and William Grinstead Poehler, and his older sister is actress and comedian Amy Poehler. Poehler earned a Bachelor of Arts from Boston College in 1996 and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University School of Law. Initially working as a lawyer, he later transitioned into show business, influenced by his sister. In 2006, Poehler also obtained a masters degree in European intellectual property law from Stockholm University.
