Greg Travis (born July 31, 1958) is an American stand-up comedian and actor. He gained recognition for creating the comedy character David Sleaze, The Punk Magician, which featured in Rodney Dangerfield's HBO specials. Born in Dallas, Texas, Travis began performing magic at the age of twelve, winning numerous school talent shows and even earning the title of best comedy magician at the Texas Association of Magicians convention. In high school, he served as vice president of the Thespian Drama Club and appeared in several school play productions. Travis later obtained an Associate Arts degree at Richland College. He continues to pursue a successful career in stand-up comedy and acting.
