Gregg Daniel is a 62-year-old African American actor and stage director. Born in Brooklyn, New York, Daniel has had a successful career in film and television. He is best known for his roles in the HBO show True Blood and Insecure. Daniel has also made appearances in films such as Truth or Dare (2018). In addition to his acting career, he has a background in theater and has directed various plays including Fences, for which he won the NAACP Theater Award for 'Best Director.' Daniel is currently a faculty member at USC School of Dramatic Arts, where he teaches directing. He is married to actress Veralyn Jones.
