Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher, born on March 17, 1988, is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer known professionally as Grimes. She gained recognition for her diverse musical style, ranging from lo-fi R&B to futuristic dance-pop, and for incorporating influences from electronic music, hip hop, and rock. With a focus on science fiction and feminist themes, Grimes has released five studio albums. After moving to Montreal in 2006, she began independently releasing music and later signed with 4AD. Her 2012 studio album, Visions, brought her mainstream success and received the Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. Grimes' fourth studio album, Art Angels, released in 2015, received critical acclaim.
