Gudrun Ure

Gudrun Ure (born 12 March 1926) is a Scottish actress known for her roles in both stage and screen productions. She gained recognition for her portrayal of the title character in the popular TV show Super Gran. Ure's career includes notable performances such as her role as Desdemona in Orson Welles' 1951 stage production of Othello. She also appeared in the pilot episode of the series Life After Life, created by Jonathan Lynn. Additionally, Ure has made appearances in various TV shows including The 10th Kingdom, T-Bag and the Pearls of Wisdom, Midsomer Murders, Casualty, The Crow Road, and Second Thoughts. Her radio acting credits include the role of Joan Danbury in An Odd Body and the secretary in Destination Fire.
