Guslagie Malanda

Guslagie Malanda is a French actress and art curator, born in 1990. Raised in France, she developed a passion for theater and cinema early on. After studying art history in college, Malanda embarked on a career in art curation. In 2014, she made her screen debut in the film 'My Friend Victoria' by Jean-Paul Civeyrac, where she portrayed the title character. Her performance as Victoria, a young mother reconnecting with her past, was praised for its thoughtfulness. Following this success, Malanda took a hiatus from acting due to her refusal to accept stereotypical roles often offered to Black French women. During this time, she continued her work as an art curator.
