Hallie Foote
Hallie Foote, born Barbara Hallie Foote on March 31, 1950, is an American actress. She is the daughter of Lillian Vallish Foote and renowned writer and director Horton Foote. Foote's stage career began in 1982 with her role as 'Sophia' in the Broadway production of A Little Family Business, alongside Angela Lansbury. She also understudied two roles in that production. In 1986, Foote played the titular role in her father's off-Broadway play The Widow Claire, which featured notable actors such as Matthew Broderick, Dan Butler, and Sarah Michelle Gellar. Foote and her father collaborated on several other projects, including Talking Pictures, Night Seasons, The Trip to Bountiful, for which she won the Lucille Lortel Award, and Dividing.
