Haluk Bilginer Biography
Haluk Bilginer is a Turkish actor who has had a successful career both in Turkey and internationally. Born on June 5, 1954, in İzmir, Turkey, Bilginer graduated from the Ankara State Conservatory in 1977 before pursuing further studies at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He gained recognition for his role as Mehmet Osman in the popular British television soap opera EastEnders during the 1980s. Bilginer has also ventured into Hollywood, appearing in films such as Ishtar (1987) and Buffalo Soldiers (2001). In 2018, he received the Best Actor award at the International Emmy Awards for his role in the series Şahsiyet.
