    Hammed Animashaun Biography
    Hammed Animashaun is a British stage, film, and television actor. Born on 6 May 1991 in London, he comes from a Nigerian family. While growing up, his father worked as a bus driver and his mother as a voluntary worker. Animashaun experienced a significant growth spurt during college, adding five inches to his height in one summer. Standing at 6 ft 3 in, he has a younger brother who is 6 ft 9 in. Encouraged by his school drama teacher, he joined the Half Moon Children's Theatre in Limehouse, London. Although he initially pursued philosophy with drama at university, he dropped out when offered theatre roles. Animashaun's notable achievements include receiving second prize in the 2021 Ian Charleson Awards for his role as Bottom in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at the Bridge Theatre. He also won Best Supporting Actor at the WhatsOnStage Awards for the same production.
