Hamza Haq is a Canadian actor best known for his leading role in the television series Transplant. He was born on October 27, 1990, in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, to Pakistani parents. Haq immigrated to Canada at the age of nine and became a Canadian citizen. He attended Bell High School in Ottawa, Ontario, and later graduated from Carleton University with a Bachelor of Arts in film studies with a minor in Law. Haq's acting career began with roles in various television series and later expanded to feature films. He has appeared in popular shows like Quantico and The Indian Detective, as well as hosting the children's television series Look Kool. In 2018, he received a nomination for Best Performance at the Canadian Screen Awards.
