Hanako Footman is an English actress and writer known for her work in film, television, and theatre. She was born on April 27, 1994, in Wimbledon, South London to a Japanese mother and an English father. Footman began her acting career with a television debut in the ITV miniseries The Town in 2012. She gained recognition for her role as Isabella. In 2017, she made a guest appearance as Lily in a season 2 episode of the Netflix historical drama The Crown. Footman's film credits include An American Exorcism and Slaughterhouse Rulez. She also starred in the BBC Two sitcom Defending the Guilty from 2018 to 2019. In addition to her acting work, Footman has also contributed to the field of writing.
