Born around 1989 or 1990, Gross grew up in Toronto and is the daughter of actors Martha Burns and Paul Gross. She attended New York University's Tisch School of the Arts, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre, with a minor in Religious Studies.
