Hari Nef

Hari Nef (born October 21, 1992) is an American actress, model, and writer. She gained recognition for her role as Gittel in the Amazon original series Transparent, earning her a nomination for a Screen Actors Guild Award in 2016. Nef made her runway debut at New York Fashion Week Spring 2015, and became the first openly transgender woman signed to IMG Models. She has written extensively on various topics, including art, film, and transgender identity. Nef was born into a Jewish family in Philadelphia and was raised by her mother in Newton, Massachusetts. She holds a degree from Columbia University. Nef currently resides in New York City.
