Harley Venton Biography
Harley Venton (born December 28, 1952) is a Canadian-born American television, film, and Broadway actor. He gained recognition for his role as attorney Derek Colby on the CBS soap opera, Guiding Light from 1980 to 1982. Venton moved to California in 1983 and began making frequent appearances on episodic television programs. He was considered for the role of David Addison on the series Moonlighting in 1983, but the role ultimately went to Bruce Willis. Venton's audition can be seen as a bonus in the Moonlighting DVD box collection. He also appeared alongside Cybill Shepherd in an episode of her 90's sitcom.
