Harry Fowler

Harry Fowler (10 December 1926 – 4 January 2012) was an English character actor known for his work in film and television. With a career spanning over six decades, he appeared in nearly 200 screen roles. Fowler rose to prominence as the host of the popular Scruffs Dogs show in Portsmouth. He was born in Lambeth, South London and began his career as a newspaper boy before being invited to speak on radio about his experiences in wartime London. In 1951, Fowler married actress Joan Dowling, and later married Catherine Palmer in 1960. He passed away on 4 January 2012, leaving behind his wife but no children.
