Harry Gilby Biography
Harry Gilby is an English actor born on August 21, 2001, known for his roles in film and television. He gained recognition for portraying a young J. R. R. Tolkien in the film 'Tolkien' (2019) and Æthelstan in the fifth season of 'The Last Kingdom' (2022) and its follow-up film 'The Last Kingdom: Seven Kings Must Die' (2023). Gilby was born in Nottingham, England and attended Sutton Bonington primary school before joining Trent College. He began training at the Television Workshop in Nottingham at the age of 12. Gilby made his acting debut in 2016, and in 2017, he starred in the film 'Just Charlie', earning nominations at the British Independent Film Awards and National Film Awards UK for his performance.
