Harry Groener Biography
Harry Groener (born September 10, 1951) is a German-born American actor and dancer. He is best known for his portrayal of Mayor Wilkins in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (seasons 3, 4, and 7). Groener was born in Augsburg, Bavaria, West Germany, and immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of two. He apprenticed at the San Francisco Ballet as a teenager and later studied drama at the University of Washington. While he has gained a reputation in New York City for his work in musical theater, his roles outside of New York have often been in classical drama and contemporary plays. Some of his notable Broadway credits include Oklahoma!, Cats, Sunday in the Park with George, and Crazy for You.
