Harry Shum Jr. is a Costa Rican-American actor, dancer, choreographer, and singer. He gained recognition for his portrayal of Mike Chang on the Fox television series Glee from 2009 to 2015. Shum has also appeared as Benson Kwan on the ABC television series Grey's Anatomy since 2022, and as Magnus Bane on the Freeform television series Shadowhunters from 2016 to 2019. He has been nominated for six Screen Actors Guild Awards for his performances in Crazy Rich Asians, Glee, and Everything Everywhere All At Once, winning for the latter two. Shum has appeared in various films including Step Up 2: The Streets, Step Up 3D, White Frog, Revenge of the Green Dragons, Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon: Sword of Destiny, and Crazy Rich Asians.
