Harvey Atkin Biography
Harvey Atkin (18 December 1942 – 18 July 2017) was a Canadian actor known for his roles in various film and television productions. He is best remembered for portraying Morty Melnick in the comedy film Meatballs and Sergeant Ronald Coleman in the TV series Cagney & Lacey. Additionally, he lent his voice to iconic characters such as King Koopa in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show! and Sam in The Adventures of Sam & Max: Freelance Police. Atkin began his career in acting after developing an interest while studying at Northview Heights Secondary School. He also received a Genie nomination for his performance in Meatballs.
